  2.   EDESK'97 is an Internet Friendly "global workstation" for the
  3. Corporate Executive and sophisticated SOHO/PC users. In the office,
  4. at home or on a tour, with this new version you can instantly setup
  5. your electronic office anywhere to keep you in command, and in
  6. touch with anybody, anywhere.

  8.  The new additions to EDESK'97 are Mail Centre that demystifies the
  9. use of Email and Fax, E-Dockets that facilitate WorkGroup exchange
  10. of schedules and tasks, Net Browse to hook to your browser to surf
  11. the net, and Wrist Portability to carry schedules, phone numbers and
  12. reminders on your wrist with a Tmex-150 watch.

  14.   EDESK'97 is a mail enabled application that works with MS-Mail,
  15. MS-Exchange or cc:Mail to facilitate communication with your
  16. workgroup on a network and with the outside world via the Internet.
  17. You can now drag-n-drop incoming messages into your schedule and
  18. task lists and create outgoing messages from your EDESK schedules
  19. and task lists. It also allows you to setup a "Point-to-Point
  20. Private Electronic Mail-cum-Fax Communication"

  22.   E-Dockets are Electronic Dockets to transfer specific EDESK
  23. information like schedules, tasks etc. into a docket which can
  24. be sent via Mail Centre over a LAN or Internet to the destination.
  25. The person receiving the docket can drag-n-drop items from this
  26. docket into his EDESK schedule and task lists.

  28.   The Wrist Portability is a feature to export reminders, schedules,
  29. phone numbers, anniversaries to the Timex Data Link software from
  30. where you can put the data into a Timex-150 watch by simply holding
  31. the watch in front of the screen (no wires, no connections).

  53. EDESK'97 on Monochrome VGA
  54. =====================================
  55. If you're using a Monochrome monitor make
  56. sure you use the color drivers like VGA
  57. instead of Monochrome VGA in Window Setup.

  59. This will enable Exec Desk to use the grey
  60. shades for better visibility and contrast.

  62. EDESK'97 Dialer Update Release Note

  64. If you are using Windows for Workgroup ver 3.11
  65. and PCMCIA 14.4/14.4 Modem with 16550 UART, this
  66. may cause the system to hang when you use the 
  67. Executive Desk dialer to dial a phone number.

  69. Nature of Problem

  71. You may be able to make one connection after starting
  72. Windows, but subsequent connections may hang your system.

  76. Copying updated (latest) versions of SERIAL.386 and COMM.DRV 
  77. (Windows System files) into the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory 
  78. should eliminate this problem.
